Entertainment Connects LLC operates the https://www.artcee.co website (“ArtCee”) which provides a job board, individual freelancer, and business listing platform for the arts and entertainment industry. This Privacy Policy applies to ArtCee.co, ArtCee-branded apps, and other ArtCee-related sites, apps, communications, and services (“Services”), including off-site Services, such as our ad services.
 

As a Visitor or Member of our Services, the use and sharing of your personal data is subject to this Privacy Policy and other documents referenced in this Privacy Policy, as well as updates.
 

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy. The Personal Information that we collect are used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this

Privacy Policy.
 

Information Collection and Use
 

Personal Information and Registration
For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, phone number, and postal address. The information that we collect will be used to contact or identify you. To create an account, you need to provide data including your name, email address and/or mobile number, and a password. If you register for a premium Service, you will need to provide payment (e.g., credit card) and billing information.

 

Profile
Your profile is fully visible to all Members and customers of our Services. Any data that you include on your profile or content you post will be seen by others. You don’t have to provide additional information on your profile; however, profile information helps you to get more from our Services, including helping recruiters, production companies, and business opportunities find you. It’s your choice whether to include sensitive information and to make that sensitive information public. Please do not post or add personal data to your profile that you would not want to be publicly available.


• When you share an article or a post (e.g., an update, image, video or article) publicly it can be viewed by everyone and re-shared anywhere (subject to your settings). Members, Visitors and others will be able to find and see your publicly shared content, including your name (and photo if you have provided one).
• We let senders know when you act on their message, subject to your settings, where applicable.
Posting and Uploading


We collect personal data from you when you provide, post or upload it to our Services, such as when you add to your Portfolio or submit a resume or fill out a job application on our Services. If you opt to share contacts from your address book, we receive your contacts (including contact information your service provider(s) or app automatically added to your address book when you communicated with addresses or numbers not already in your list). You don’t have to post or upload personal data; though if you don’t, it may limit your ability to grow and engage with your network over our Services.
 

Career
Our Services allow you to explore careers, and seek out, and be found for, career opportunities. Your profile can be found by those looking to hire or collaborate or be hired by you. Keeping your profile accurate and up-to-date may help you better connect to others and to opportunities through our Services.

 

Productivity
Our Services allow you to collaborate with colleagues, search for potential clients, customers, partners and others to do business with. Our Services allow you to communicate with other Members and schedule and prepare meetings with them.

 

Premium Services
We sell premium Services that provide our customers and subscribers with customized-search functionality and tools (including messaging, posting and applying directly to jobs, book services) as part of our talent and marketing solutions. We do not provide contact information to customers as part of these premium Services without your consent. Premium Services customers can store information they have about you in our premium Services, such as a resume or contact information.

 

Communications
We will contact you through email, mobile phone, notices posted on our websites or apps, messages to your LinkedIn inbox, and other ways through our Services, including text messages and push notifications. We will send you messages about the availability of our Services, security, or other service-related issues. We also send messages about how to use our Services, network updates, reminders, job suggestions and promotional messages from us and our partners.

 

Text message data

As a general policy, we use personal information and message data for internal purposes only. We do not sell or rent information about you. We will not disclose personal information or message data to third parties without your consent, except as explained in this Privacy Policy.  

 

Marketing
In addition to advertising our Services, we use Members’ data and content for invitations and communications promoting membership and network growth, engagement, and our Services, such as by showing your connections that you have used a feature on our Services.

 

Data From Others
 

Partners
We may occasionally receive personal data (e.g., your job title and work email address) about you when you use the services of our customers and partners, such as employers or prospective employers and applicant tracking systems providing us job application data.

 

Service Use
We log usage data when you visit or otherwise use our Services, including our sites, app and platform technology, such as when you view or click on content or ads (on or off our sites and apps), perform a search, install or update one of our mobile apps, share articles or apply for jobs. We use log-ins, cookies, and device information to identify you and log your use. We want to inform our Service users that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

 

Links to Other Sites
We currently do not share personal data with third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your permission. However, our Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

 

Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you visit our Service, we collect information that your browser sends to us that is called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol ("IP") address,
browser version, pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

 

Change in Control or Sale
We may also share your personal data as part of a sale, merger or change in control, or in preparation for any of these events. Any other entity which buys us or part of our business will have the right to continue to use your data, but only in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy unless you agree otherwise.

 

Data Retention
We generally retain your personal data as long as you keep your account open or as needed to provide you Services. This includes data you or others provided to us and data generated or inferred from your use of our Services. Even if you only use our Services when looking for a new job every few years, we will retain your information and keep your profile open, unless you close your account. In some cases, we choose to retain certain information (e.g., insights about Services use) in a depersonalized or aggregated form.

 

Deleting Your Personal Data - Account Closure
If you choose to close your ArtCee account, your personal data will generally stop being visible to others on our Services within 3 days of your request. We generally delete closed account information within 30 days of account closure, except as noted below.

 

Security
We implement security safeguards designed to protect your data, such as HTTPS. We regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot warrant the security of any information that you send us. There is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.
ArtCee will use necessary measures to protect the security of your personal and shared data. However, it's impossible for the company to completely guarantee that user data will be immune from malicious attack or compromise; as such, the users should understand that their transmission of personal data is always at their own risk.

 

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.
You acknowledge that your continued use of our Services after we publish or send a notice about our changes to this Privacy Policy means that the collection, use and sharing of your personal data is subject to the updated Privacy Policy, as of its effective date.

 

Cross-Border Data Transfers
We process data both inside and outside of the United States and rely on legally-provided mechanisms to lawfully transfer data across borders. Countries where we process data may have laws which are different from, and potentially not as protective as, the laws of your own country.

 

Compliance with the Law

The Company cooperates with government and law enforcement officials to enforce and comply with the law. We may therefore disclose personal information, usage data, message data, and any other information about you, if we deem that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), or enforceable governmental request; (b) enforce the Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations thereof; (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; or (d) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of the Company, its users or the public, as required or permitted by law.
 

It is possible that we will need to disclose information about you when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to (1) investigate, prevent or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities or to assist government enforcement agencies; (2) enforce our agreements with you; (3) investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations; (4) protect the security or integrity of our Services (such as by sharing with companies facing similar threats); or (5) exercise or protect the rights and safety of ArtCee, our Members, personnel or others. We attempt to notify Members about legal demands for their personal data when appropriate in our judgment, unless prohibited by law or court order or when the request is an emergency. We may dispute such demands when we believe, in our discretion, that the requests are overbroad, vague or lack proper authority, but we do not promise to challenge every demand.
 

Cookies
Most web browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Please note, however, that certain features of the site might not function if you delete or disable cookies. THE SITE'S COOKIES DO NOT AND CANNOT INFILTRATE A USER'S HARD DRIVE TO COLLECT ANY INFORMATION STORED ON THE HARD DRIVE.

 

Our website uses these "cookies" to collect information and to improve our Service. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your computer. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

Childrens Online Protection Policy Rule

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 and its rules (collectively, "COPPA") require us to inform parents and legal guardians (as used in this, "parents") about our practices for collecting, using, and disclosing personal information from children under the age of 13 ("children"). It also requires us to obtain verifiable consent from a child's parent for certain collection, use, and disclosure of the child's personal information.

Children Under 16

ArtCee does not knowingly collect Personal Data on our websites from children under the age of 16 without the prior consent of the child’s parent or guardian.

This section only applies to children under the age of 16 and supplements the other provisions of this Privacy Policy. Only the other provisions of this Privacy Policy apply to teens and adults.

Parental Consent

Only a Parent or Legal Guardian of a child under the age of 16 years old may create an account on ArtCee.co. When creating a profile on behalf of their child, the Parent or Legal Guardian will be asked to enter their child’s date of birth. If the child is under 16 years of age, a Parent must affirm that they are the Parent or Legal Guadian of the Child whose profile they are creating, and consent to the release of the child’s personal information within the ArtCee Profile.

Though ArtCee does not market its platform or services directly to anyone under the age of 16, professional and legitimate job opportunities do arise for those under the age of 16. Examples of these include models and actors, and as such, those under the age of 16 need certain protections to ensure their privacy and safety. To that regard:

  • We do not require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity;

  • We do not collect any personal information such as a social security numbers, drivers license or other identification;

  • As a parent, they can review their child’s personal information, direct ArtCee to delete it, and refuse to allow any further collection or use of the child’s information;

  • The parent can agree to the collection and use of their child’s information, and still not allow disclosure to third parties unless that’s part of the service (for example, social networking); and

  • The following are procedures to follow to exercise their rights.

The information provided in the Individual Profile is voluntary and optional. It does become the "public professional page" for any registered individual and any information collected is directly provided on their Profile page. We do not sell our data or share it outside of the platform for any reason outside of our Terms and Conditions.

As a method of verification, we may send an email to the parent and have them respond with their consent. We will then follow up with a confirmation to the parent via email, letter, or phone call. The parent may revoke their consent anytime.

The use of a credit card in the name of the parent/guardian to purchase a monthly subscription to ArtCee also authorizes consent.
